Myself and Dean Whale have worked together for many years teaching and performing. We both run teaching practices in Gillingham and Rainham. Please contact us for information on lessons and availability. To visit Dean Whale's guitar tuition webpage, click here.
I work 6 days a week with many fine Student’s. Most styles of electric and acoustic guitar are covered. Lessons are on a one-to-one basis and are geared to the students needs. Grades are available on student request.
I began teaching full time nearly 20 years ago when after studying classical guitar at the Medway School of Music I was offered a full time teaching post.
I began teaching electric guitar there as well as classical which turned out to be very popular.
As well as teaching for Medway School of Music for most of the late 90’s early 2000 I worked for Kent Music School teaching in scores of schools in the south east.
In that time I started Rock Shop a popular workshop that involved young people having their first experience of playing in a band situation. Many good times were experienced at these workshops and we had a number of successful concerts at the end of each term.
I also spent several years as the principle guitar teacher at the Kings School Rochester.
Towards the end of the 90’s I became involved with Registry of Guitar and was offered an examiners post for their newly launched electric guitar grades. I still regularly conduct these exams and thoroughly enjoy meeting some very fine players from all over the country and overseas. The exams now encompass electric, acoustic and bass guitars (check out the link to Registry of Guitar for more information).
